iPhone camera repair at iTweak

iPhone camera repair cost

Camera repair pricing varies more than other repairs — share your model and a tech will confirm the exact cost in writing before any work begins.

Price range

2,00010,600

Depending on iPhone model and condition

What affects the final quote

  • Front camera modules: up to ₹5,900
  • Rear camera modules: up to ₹10,600 (Pro Max with tele lens)
  • Lens-only vs full-module replacement depends on the damage
  • Whether OIS calibration is needed (always on Pro models)
If the diagnostic shows it's just a loose flex cable, you pay for the diagnostic only — not a swap.

When you need a camera repair

Camera faults split into two buckets: the camera module itself (lens, sensor, OIS motor) or the flex cable connecting it to the logic board. We diagnose which before we quote.

  • Black viewfinder when you open the Camera app

App opens but the preview is black or frozen. Usually means the camera module isn't responding — could be the module itself or a seated flex cable.

  • Blurry or out-of-focus photos

If photos are consistently soft or refuse to focus, the OIS (optical image stabilisation) motor or the autofocus coil has failed. Replacement only — these aren't user-serviceable.

  • Cracked rear camera lens

Spider-web or hairline cracks in the lens glass scatter light into the sensor. Photos get hazy, lens flares appear, low-light is destroyed. Replace the lens — the sensor underneath is usually fine.

  • Flash not working

If the LED flash doesn't fire — for camera or torch — the entire camera module typically needs replacement (the flash is wired through the rear camera's flex on most models).

  • Wide-angle or zoom lens stopped working

On Pro models with multi-lens systems, one lens can fail independently. The main lens still works but switching to 0.5× or 2-3× shows a black frame. Module replacement.

  • Front camera dead after a screen replacement

The front camera's flex cable connects to the screen assembly. A previous (non-iTweak) screen repair often dislodges or damages this flex. We open, reseat or replace.

  • Rattling sound from the camera area

Loose OIS components knock around when you shake the phone gently. Once you hear that rattle, the camera will be soft on every shot. Replace.

Why iTweak

Worried about ghost spots in photos, lost OIS, or a camera that dies again in a month?

Cheap shops fit unbranded camera modules with no OIS calibration — Photos look soft, low-light is destroyed, and the autofocus motor seizes within weeks. iTweak fits Apple-spec front and rear modules, calibrates the OIS against your iPhone's gyroscope, and tests every focal length (wide / ultrawide / tele) before handing the device back. 6-month warranty.

  • Apple-spec camera modules
  • OIS calibration included
  • Diagnostic guarantee
  • 6-month warranty

What iTweak fits — and what we don't

Camera modules are the part where cheap shops cut the most corners. The price difference is real and so is the quality difference.

How the repair works

Five steps. Diagnostic comes first because the cause matters — sometimes it's a flex cable issue and the module itself is fine.

  1. Technician running a camera diagnostic on an iPhone
    1

    Diagnostic

Phonecheck identifies which module (front, rear, wide-angle, tele) is failing — and whether it's the module or the flex cable. Saves you paying for a swap when a reseat would work.

  2. iPhone on a heated mat with the screen being lifted
    2

    Open the device

Heated mat softens the factory adhesive. Screen lifted with a suction cup. Logic board never powered during the swap.

  3. Camera module being lifted out of an open iPhone with tweezers
    3

    Disconnect the camera module

On rear-camera jobs: lift the EMI shield, release the connector, remove the module from its bracket. On front-camera jobs: lift the speaker/sensor assembly together (Face ID flex stays in place).

  4. New iPhone camera module being placed into the chassis
    4

    Install the new module

Apple-spec module seated, connector torqued to factory spec. OIS calibration synced against the iPhone's gyroscope before reassembly.

  5. Reassembled iPhone passing a camera test diagnostic
    5

    Test and reseal

Photos at every focal length, flash, torch, Portrait mode, Cinematic mode — all verified. Screen reseated with fresh adhesive. Full Phonecheck pass before return.

FAQ

Front vs rear, OIS, Face ID, flash — the questions our techs hear daily.

  • iPhone camera repair at iTweak ranges from ₹2,000 to ₹10,600 depending on the model and which camera you need fixed. Front camera modules are cheaper (up to ₹5,900). Rear camera modules — especially on Pro models with multi-lens systems — go up to ₹10,600. Share your iPhone model in the form on this page and a technician calls back with the exact quote.

  • Yes. Whether it's the lens, the module, the OIS motor, or the flex cable, we replace the relevant part. The choice depends on what the diagnostic finds — sometimes a lens swap is enough, sometimes the whole module needs to come out. We confirm in writing before any work begins.

  • The front camera, ambient light sensor, and Face ID dot projector are all connected via flex cables that route through the screen assembly. A non-careful screen replacement often dislodges or damages the front-camera flex. We open, identify which flex is the culprit, and either reseat (no charge for a part) or replace.

  • Yes — when done correctly. Face ID lives in its own flex cable connected to the front camera assembly. iTweak transfers the Face ID flex carefully from the old assembly to the new one. Cheap shops cut corners here, which is why so many third-party front-camera jobs end with broken Face ID.

  • If we fit an Apple-spec module and calibrate OIS, yes — indistinguishable from factory. The most common failure case at cheaper shops is skipping the OIS calibration, which produces consistently soft photos no matter what you shoot. We don't skip it.

  • Common signs: black viewfinder when you open the Camera app, persistently blurry photos, cracked rear lens, autofocus that hunts forever and doesn't lock, dead flash or torch, ghost spots or rings in low-light photos, or rattling sound when you shake the phone gently.

  • On most iPhone models, no — the flash LED is wired through the same flex assembly as the rear camera. If your flash isn't working but the camera is, the assembly still needs to be replaced. The good news: one repair fixes both.

  • Every camera repair comes with a 6-month warranty covering both the part and the labour. If the new module fails to perform within 6 months, we replace it free. We also offer a 100% money-back guarantee if the original issue wasn't actually the camera.
