How to know it's the screen
Six signs the display itself — not the touch IC, not the logic board — needs replacing. If two or more sound familiar, a screen replacement will fix it.
Cracked or shattered glass
Even hairline cracks let dust and moisture into the digitiser layer. Replace early — cracks always spread, and they wreck the OLED beneath if ignored.
Black spots, pink halos or vertical lines
Visible defects in the display layer — usually pixel cluster failures or a damaged display flex cable. The glass might be intact, but the panel is dying.
Touch not responding
Areas of the screen that won't register taps, or 'ghost touches' that activate randomly. The digitiser layer is damaged, even if the OLED looks fine.
Display flickers or strobes
Backlight fault on LCD models, or a damaged display driver IC on OLED. Don't ignore — flickering panels often die completely within days.
True Tone / auto-brightness gone
If a previous (non-Apple) repair lost True Tone or auto-brightness, the screen wasn't programmed to your iPhone's logic board. Genuine and our calibrated OEM-equivalent panels keep both working.
Face ID broken after a drop
Sometimes the issue isn't the OLED but the Face ID flex cable that runs along the screen. We test both and tell you which (or both) needs replacing.

How the repair works
Five steps from booking to handover. Same workflow whether we come to your door or you walk into our Marathahalli lab.
1Diagnostic
Phonecheck verifies the issue is the display, not the logic board's display IC. Touch, OLED, Face ID flex, ambient sensors — all tested before any disassembly.
2Open the device
Heated mat softens the factory adhesive. Screen lifted with a suction cup. Logic board never powered during the swap.
3Transfer Face ID + sensor flex
Face ID dot projector, earpiece speaker, ambient light and proximity sensors are transferred from the old screen to the new one. This is the step cheap shops skip — and why their repairs lose Face ID.
4Install and calibrate the new display
New OLED seated. We program the panel to your iPhone's serial so True Tone and auto-brightness stay calibrated. iOS reports the new display correctly on first boot.
5Reseal and 80-point test
Fresh waterproof adhesive, screen reseated. Full Phonecheck pass — touch, multi-touch, True Tone, Face ID, ambient sensors. The device only leaves the bench when every check is green.

iPhone screen replacement at iTweak ranges from ₹3,000 (older models, Front Glass) to ₹37,700 (iPhone 16 Pro Max, OEM Display). OEM Display carries a 1-year warranty; Standard Display and Front Glass are 6 months. Full per-model pricing is on this page.
Not at iTweak. We programme every replacement panel to your iPhone's logic board so True Tone and auto-brightness keep working. This is the step low-cost shops skip — which is why their repairs lose True Tone. Genuine and our OEM-equivalent panels both retain it.
Walk-in: typically 60 minutes. Doorstep service: 30 minutes–60 minutes on-site. The Face ID and sensor transfer is the slowest step — rushed jobs cause permanent Face ID loss, so we don't rush.
Not when done correctly. Face ID lives in a flex cable bonded to the screen — we transfer it carefully from the old screen to the new one. Cheap repair shops cut corners here, which is why so many third-party screen jobs end with broken Face ID. We test Face ID after every screen swap before returning the device.
If you have a flagship Pro / Pro Max and value the resale price, go genuine — it preserves the device's authorised-repair status. If you have a base iPhone or want to save 30-40%, OEM-equivalent OLED is panel-for-panel identical to factory spec, just without the Apple imprint. Both come with our 180-day warranty.
Newer iPhones use ProMotion 120Hz OLED panels with always-on display capability and higher pixel density — much more expensive components. Older iPhones (11 and earlier base models) use LCD or first-gen OLED, which has commoditised, hence cheaper.
iTweak's OEM Display replacement comes with a 1-year warranty. The Standard Display tier and Front Glass repairs come with a 6-month warranty — same as battery and charging port. If anything fails on the new display within the warranty window, we replace it free. We also offer a 100% money-back guarantee if the issue you booked us for wasn't actually the screen.
On older iPhones (X and earlier) we can sometimes do glass-only — separating the glass from the OLED with a laser process. On newer models the glass and OLED are bonded too tightly to risk it, so we replace the full assembly. We always quote both options where viable.
