Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, who we share it with. Short version: we collect what we need to repair your device and call you back — and nothing else.

What we collect

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email (if you provide it), city / locality.
  • Device details: device type, brand, model, the issue you're reporting.
  • Pickup address: only if you request doorstep service or FedEx pickup.
  • Repair record: the work performed, parts fitted, warranty start date.

How we use it

  • To call you back with a written repair quote.
  • To arrange doorstep service or FedEx pickup.
  • To honour your warranty if you claim a re-repair.
  • To send you transactional updates about the repair (booking confirmation, quote sent, repair complete, ready for return).

What we don't do

  • We don't send marketing emails or SMS without your explicit consent.
  • We don't sell your data to third parties — ever.
  • We don't share your data with brokers or advertisers.
  • We don't access the data on your device beyond what's needed to verify the repair (e.g., About → Battery Health, Phonecheck diagnostics).

Who we share data with

  • FedEx (or equivalent courier): name + pickup/return address only, for shipment.
  • Payment processor: the minimum required to charge for the repair (we don't store card details).
  • Diagnostic tools (e.g., Phonecheck): device serial number for repair logging; never your account / personal data.

Your data on your device

We do not access the data on your device beyond what's strictly required for the repair. Most repairs (battery, screen, port, board-level work) don't require us to power on the device into your user account. Where we do need to power on (e.g., post-repair Phonecheck), we use Apple Diagnostics or similar tools that don't expose your personal data.

We strongly recommend an iCloud or Finder/iTunes backup before sending the device to us. If you have a passcode and your repair requires the device to boot into the user account (rare — typically only for passcode-locked recovery), we'll ask you for the passcode in writing and delete it from our records once the repair is complete.

How long we keep your data

  • Contact + repair record: 7 years (statutory requirement for service businesses in India).
  • Pickup address: deleted within 30 days of repair completion (unless retained at your request for future pickups).
  • Phone call recordings: 30 days for quality + training, then deleted.

Your rights

You can request a copy of all data we hold on you, or ask us to delete it (subject to the 7-year statutory retention requirement on the repair record itself). Email techsupport@itweak.in and we'll respond within 7 working days.

Cookies + analytics on itweak.in

We use minimal first-party analytics (anonymised page views) to understand which repair pages our customers visit. No third-party tracking, no ad cookies. We don't sell or share this data.
