Yes on iPhone 7 onwards (Lightning is the audio path). On iPhone 6 / 6s / SE 1st gen, there's a separate 3.5mm jack we can also repair.

AirPods pair via bluetooth, not the Lightning port. If wireless pairing is the issue, it's either the AirPods (warranty via Apple) or the iPhone's bluetooth chip. We can diagnose both.
