What's actually broken?
An Apple Watch that won't turn on has at least four common causes. Telling them apart needs proper diagnostic — guessing leads to wrong-part repairs.
Completely dead — no charging indicator at all
Could be a fully drained battery (most common), a failed charging coil, or a chip-level fault. We test the coil + battery + board in sequence.
Shows red lightning bolt that won't go green
Battery is deeply discharged below the protection cutoff. Often recoverable with a slow trickle charge + a battery swap.
Apple logo appears, then dies
Watch boots but can't sustain the load — usually a weak battery with collapsed voltage. Battery swap typically resolves it.
Boot loop (Apple logo repeats)
Software corruption or a chip-level fault. We try a force-restore first; if it fails, board-level diagnostic.
Heats up while charging but doesn't power on
Internal short, often on the charging IC. Board-level work needed — sometimes recoverable, sometimes not.
Water exposure preceded the problem
Liquid damage. Recovery rate depends on how quickly the watch was dried + powered off. Send it in — we'll do a no-cost diagnostic before quoting.
