How to know the back panel is the problem
Apple Watch back glass damage often happens without anyone noticing the moment of impact. These five signs are the giveaway.
Visible cracks on the ceramic back
The back is ceramic on most models (sapphire on stainless / titanium versions). Cracks are usually hairline but visible against the light.
Heart-rate readings are inconsistent
If the back is cracked AND moisture has entered, the sensor lenses may be foggy. We restore sensor performance with the swap.
Watch unrecognised by charging coil
Modern Apple Watch charging requires good back-glass contact. A cracked back can break the coil's NFC handshake.
Sharp edge under the strap
Small chips on the back glass can give a sharp edge against your wrist. Replace before it cuts.
Visible separation between glass and case
The ceramic back is bonded to the case with Apple-spec adhesive. Separation means the seal is broken — water resistance compromised.

Will replacing the back glass damage the heart-rate sensor?
It's a fair worry — the heart-rate / SpO2 / ECG sensor is glued to the inside of the back glass on most Apple Watch models. The factory replacement procedure removes the entire sensor assembly. We do it differently: we separate the cracked glass from the sensor, transfer the original sensor to the new glass, and re-bond with Apple-spec adhesive. Your original sensor's calibration is preserved. 1-year warranty on the back glass + the bond.

Apple Authorised Service Providers replace the entire back-cluster assembly (back glass + heart-rate + SpO2 + ECG sensors). It costs significantly more than our glass-only swap because most of the price is the sensor cluster. Our process keeps your original sensor, lower cost, same functionality.
We restore splash and shower resistance with Apple-spec adhesive. The watch is no longer rated to the original IP spec (Apple's policy after any third-party repair) — don't swim, dive, or expose to salt water.
Most back-glass jobs take 1–2 working days at our bench. The adhesive needs proper cure time. Total round-trip with FedEx is 4–6 days.
1 year on the back glass + bond (parts + labour). If the glass cracks again under normal use, free replacement. Physical impact damage after repair is not covered.
