Apple-spec MacBook batteries — every MacBook Air and Pro, Intel and Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4). Apple Authorised Service Providers quote ₹25,000+ for a "top case replacement" because Apple ships the battery glued to the chassis. We do the cell swap properly — keyboard, trackpad, top case all preserved. Free Blue Dart pickup pan-India. 6-month warranty.

Battery replacement pricing varies enough that a quote upfront would be guesswork. Share your MacBook model and a technician calls back with the exact price — no obligation, no spam.
macOS gives you direct read-out of battery health. These six signs all point at the cell rather than the charger, brick, or logic board.
System Settings → Battery → Battery Health. Apple's own diagnostic flagging the cell for replacement. This is the most reliable indicator — believe it.
Most MacBooks are rated to 1,000 cycles. Once you cross it, capacity drops fast. Check via the battery health menu or System Information → Power.
Closed lid, plugged into power adapter only briefly — a healthy MacBook loses 2–5% over 12 hours. Loss above 10% is end-of-life voltage collapse.
Cell can't deliver any usable current. Sometimes still reports charge; pulling the cable is the truth test.
Swollen battery has lifted the trackpad off its mechanism. STOP USING the MacBook — bulging cells can puncture and ignite. We've seen this on intel-era MacBook Pro 13/15 the most.
Rising internal resistance dissipates energy as heat — the fan compensates. Often paired with rapid charge drain.
Why iTweak
Apple Authorised Service Providers replace the entire "top case" — battery + keyboard + trackpad + chassis — even when the only thing that failed was the cell. It's how Apple ships the battery (glued to the chassis), but it's not how it has to be repaired. iTweak has been doing standalone MacBook battery cell swaps since 2010 — proper adhesive release, original keyboard / trackpad / top case preserved, just the cell replaced. 6-month warranty on the new battery. Honestly priced quote upfront.
MacBook battery repair is the clearest example of where independent specialists beat Apple Authorised Service Providers on price and engineering. The AASP quotes a "top case replacement" because Apple sells it that way; we do the actual repair.
Cell-only swap, top case preserved, 6-month warranty
Full top-case replacement; correct, but expensive
MacBook battery jobs are bench-only — they need 30+ minutes of solvent time and a 20-minute adhesive cure. Free Blue Dart pickup pan-India, or walk into our Marathahalli centre.
Tell us your MacBook model and the symptom. Hold ⌥ + click the Apple menu → System Information → Power to get the exact cycle count + condition; share that, and we tell you upfront whether it's a cell swap or something else.

Bottom case removed, battery connector disconnected, old cells released from the adhesive with isopropyl alcohol (no heat gun). New Apple-spec cells installed. Top case, keyboard, trackpad all original — only the battery changes.

AASP top-case cost, M-series, swollen cells, AppleCare, warranty — the MacBook battery questions our techs hear weekly.
Apple ships the battery glued to the top case — the chassis that also holds the keyboard and trackpad. AASPs are required to replace the entire top case assembly rather than the cells alone, which is the engineering-correct approach for an authorised repair but doubles the cost. Independent specialists like iTweak do a cell-only swap: same Apple-spec cells, original keyboard / trackpad / top case kept, 6-month warranty. Most MacBook owners outside Apple coverage choose the independent route.
Every MacBook Air and MacBook Pro — Intel-era (2008–2020) and Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4). The hardware differs across generations (some retina-era models have the worst battery adhesive, M-series are easier), but we have the tooling and experience for all of them.
Healthy MacBook batteries deliver Apple's spec — usually 8–18 hours of light use depending on model (M-series Pro is the longest, Intel Air the shortest). Cycle life is rated to ~1,000 cycles to 80% capacity. Most MacBooks last 4–6 years before showing 'Service Recommended'.
Yes — if the battery develops any functional issue within the 6-month warranty (rapid drain, won't charge, swelling, refusal to power on), we replace it free of charge. The warranty doesn't cover physical damage or liquid damage after the repair.
No. MacBook batteries are bench-only — they need proper heat / solvent control, 30+ minutes of adhesive work, and a 20-minute cure. We offer free Blue Dart pickup and drop pan-India (5–7 day round-trip), or walk-in at our Bangalore (Marathahalli) centre.
No — battery replacement is a non-data-affecting repair. Your macOS install, files, apps, and settings are preserved. We recommend a Time Machine backup as a precaution before any device repair, but no part of the battery swap touches the SSD or RAM.
If your MacBook is still under Apple's standard 1-year warranty or AppleCare+, a third-party battery replacement (including ours) voids it for hardware claims. We recommend AASP for in-warranty MacBooks. For out-of-warranty MacBooks, our Apple-spec cell + 6-month iTweak warranty is the value choice.
6 months on the battery (parts + labour). If the cells fail to perform within 6 months — rapid drain, won't charge, swells — we replace them free. Physical damage or liquid damage after the repair is not covered.
